Facilities
Multidisciplinary laboratory research facilities
The multidisciplinary laboratory research facilities are equipped to conduct in vitro and in vivo musculoskeletal projects, incorporating a broad spectrum of scientific disciplines.
Facility 01
Surgical Modeling
Preclinical surgical modeling with experience from lower to higher order vertebrates specifically recognized as appropriate translational models for the device under evaluation. AMT and colleagues collaborate with internationally recognized, GLP and AAALAC approved contract research organizations for preclinical in vivo modeling studies.
Facility 02
Radiography Laboratory
The laboratory is configured with digital plain film imaging, fluoroscopy, micro-computed tomography (micro CT), Faxitron microradiography, and Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) to provide qualitative and quantitative structural analysis of musculoskeletal structures.
Facility 03
Biomechanical Testing Laboratory
Fully equipped with a comprehensive platform of equipment, including a 6 Degree of Freedom Musculoskeletal Simulator, MTS Bionix Systems, optoelectronic motion tracking systems, Tekscan Pressure Mapping and Vishay Micro-Measurements systems. Collectively, these systems are designed to quantify multidirectional functional skeletal kinematics, forces, strain, and pressures of musculoskeletal structures.
Facility 04
Histology Laboratory
Configured with state-of-the-art tissue processing equipment, the histology facilities can process a wide variety of tissue samples including decalcified and undecalcified tissues (oversized), with subsequent quantitative histomorphometry platforms for quantitative assays.
